Difference between Eshopps Bio-Lux ceramic filter bricks vs Amazon generic ones?

Looking specifically at these two here:

What gives? The amazon brand is such a better value for the amount you get. They both appear to be made from the same material, so would it work the same if I tossed a bunch of those into my sump?

There are verified reports of some ceramic blocks causing elevated aluminum levels in icp tests.

The cheap Amazon brand is likely Chinese, with little quality control inthe manufacturing process, name brands may enforce more stringent controls.

Really like my eshopps bio-lux. Personally I'd go with a reputable company like them over a bargain option. You usually get what you pay for.
