Looking at these two fixtures. Has to be some differences in the two units. Looking for a frag tank deep blue 80. The 48 6 bulb. A 300 dollar price difference.

Any clues or advice would be great.

I use a 4 bulb agrobrite over a 75 gallon with great success. I'm using 3 ati blue + and 1 coral +

I have a mixed reef with many acropora frags that avg 8-12 inches under lights. They have been colored up nicely and are beginning to encrust & branch in the 6 weeks that they have been in the tank. I also have an anemone doing great as well as gorgonians.

A few key differences. The ballasts in the ATI fixture are programmed start ballasts which prolong bulb life and spectrum. Quality manufacturers like ATI, Giesemann and Pacific Sun all use programmed start ballasts. The Sunblaze fixture uses rapid start ballasts. The ATI fixture has both ballast and bulb cooling, again to optimize bulb life and spectrum, whereas the Sunblaze fixture offers no cooling whatsoever. Finally there are the aesthetics. If you’re into that sort of thing, the ATI fixture is much more aesthetically leasing to the eye.

Thank you very much. Spectrum would be key.
