Difference between Vibrant and NOPOX

IMO both can have detrimental effects on a reef tank depending on the tank itself. Nopox is strong stuff and will strip a tank quickly as well.
Fun Fact: ESV TE+ is about twice the concentration vs NoPox in my experience (switched about 6 months ago).

i'm going to call that false. Judging by my own experience and the experience posted by others in similar threads.

There is a pretty large Vibrant thread. Not so large NoPox thread but plenty of results if one searches. I've used both with success. We probably agree that the products are different but similar in that they are a form of dosing be it carbon or proprietary. And both require a properly functioning skimmer.

We disagree on the nuking part. All good. If it hasn't been posted earlier below is the vibrant thread. Anyone looking to use it I'd recommend it. With regards to NoPox. Again it works, works well. I've used it. However, I cannot recommend enough starting at 1/3 the recommended dose. And that is also the general consensus.

Wow this thread is like 50/50 with or against vibrant. Wondering if I should quit using it now lol

I don't think it's a bad product per say. The problem is that it it gets passed around as fact that it is 100% safe and that is far from the case.

This isn't unique to Vibrant though. Most if not all additives can have negative effects if not properly used or over dosed. The rest is just our own personal opinion of which one is more dangerous if a mistake is made.

Yep. Pretty much everything, even top-off water, can crash your tank if you go overboard negligently...

Like I said before, I was dosing Vibrant at 2x per Week at higher than recommended dosage for the last ~5 months of my use with zero issues. However, that wasn't done overnight. I started at recommended and worked my way up extremely slowly.

That is not the case for me. I never overdosed it, nor improperly used it. I dosed the amount recommended on the bottle, and dosed it in 2 Week Intervals.

SPS went downhill within 24 hours of the first dose.
