Im getting into the chalice addiction, currently I own a Mummy Eye chalice and My Miami chalice, next tuesday I going to buy a Bubble Gum Monster chalice frag. Today I was on google looking for images to compare differences between one and the other but I couldnt find good ones, except that the BGM chalice has red and yellow eyes.
Can someone explain me whay are some differences between these two chalices? I will really appreciate any help.

Bubblegum looks more lizard skin looking with the green color not being solid. The mummy eye, do you mean the OG? If so the OG is a solid green or sometimes with a hint of orange.

Hope that isnt too confusing and helps. Someone chime in if I'm wrong. :)

You are correct. Mummy eye, there are a few named ones as well as unnamed ones. The named ones have a descriptions like Oregon, original, emerald and my favorite cornbred g3 mummy eye. But many green with orange eye chalice can be classified as mummy eye they just don't carry the name or price tag. Mummy eye are also old school reverse watermelons. They have a tendency to turn orange overlay on body in higher lighting. But not the patterned look of bubble gum monster.

Bubble gum monster has a green body with yellow green highlights on the bumps. It causes a patterned lizard look to the chalice as mentioned. The eyes are more reddish pink compared to the orange of mummy eye. If the two are next to each other you will have no problems telling them apart.

personal opinion? pick one and enjoy it for what it is in your tank.

Yup. Both grown from small frags in the same tank and under same light. The OGME gets orange for me under higher light. T5's and LED supplement.

Nice. Do you have pics of pink *******/vivid's similar to show any difference?

How much do Bubble Gum monster chalice frags usually go for? Lets say 3 Eyes. Also, whats the care level like? thx

Care level is same as most chalices. I think they can stand more light than others, but color is best under low. They eat like monsters and if happy will grow fast. That is why they like many high end chalices are selling for far less than they use to. But they will still be a must have chalice.

I am on my second. My first was a few years ago at that time they went for $150 an eye. It died in a accident. The one i have now is like the other growing like a pretty weed. The price i would think is based on area. Down here a 2-3 eye can be had for less than $50. But that was when i bought my current frag, about a year ago. At that time it seemed every lfs had them. Now i see far less offered so they may be harder to find = higher price. But that price is here in orlando where BGM got its start coral prices always vary by area of the country.

Finally I have it, got it yesterday at Aqua SD, 3 eyes for 50 box!!
Now I can see whats the differences between them!!
BGM chalice on the back, Mummy Eye on the left, My Miami on the right.
