A couple weeks back I picked up a goby in a trade. I was told that it was two anthias but one of the two turned out to be some type of sand goby. I was not thrilled about it but accepted it. It turned out to be a blessing in disguise.I already own a yellow watchman goby who has been uncomfortable in my system since he arrived. Always sat in a hole on the very side of the rock work and didn't do very much other than sit there. Occasionally he would take a trip down the overflow and get stuck in my skimmer somehow. Kind of amazing feat actually. This goby that I got is twice the size of my watchman or more. It immediately took up residence in the center of my tank on the bottom. Within a day my yellow watchman was sitting with it and has not separated sense. They are always within 4 inches of each
other and my Watchman seems so much happier bouncing around and cleaning sand and doing what gobies do. This new one is a pale white with blue speckles all over it I was thinking maybe a diamond goby but I'm really not sure. Definitely different breeds.. Is it odd for two different type of fish to pair up like this?
