Completely honest here..... I know nothing about them, but like the looks of the lights. What are the differences (Tuna Blue???)

What ones should I look for? 360x? 360we?

I plan to start with 4, and supplement with something if needed.

Running 3x 300w Marsaqua now. Will I get the same coverage out of 4 kessils?

Thanks

Tuna Blue is the reef light. I run six of them on my 125 gallon tank.

The 360We is the "wide-angle" version with ability to control the spectrum and intensity remotely.

The 360X is the newer version that has the WiFi controllability.

The 360N was the narrower version.

Because they are point light sources similar to an HID lamp, they will have more shading that a block/brick arrangement of LEDs.

You might find that four Kessils will be inadequate for a tank of that size. I actually supplement with two 60" T5s in my 125 gallon tank. Even then, the shading is pretty bad and tough on heavily branched corals. LPS and flatter SPS (like Montipora) seem to do great with the Kessil lights.

We're planning on getting a six foot tank, and I was thinking it would need five in order to avoid too much shadowing.

I guess I will rule them out then. Love the look, but no way would I be able to justify buying 8 or more
Yeah, I understand. Unless you buy used. I bought three of mine new, and the other three used off of R2R. Can't tell the difference, and they were like half the cost used.
