I pulled out a tiny piece of live rock and left it outside so I saw what I thought were bristle worms coming out that were dying from no water so I put it back in a cup a few came back alive but most died the next day...my question is are these safe? There’s also a different kinda earthworm looking one right in the middle if you can even see does not look like a bristle worm any advice ? Ty

All of those worms came off this tiny piece of rock so I’m assuming I must have thousands in the tank

Those are known as bristle worms- some consider them an eyesore, so they remove them. They don’t pose a threat to coral or fish though, and actually help clean the tank. Just don’t touch them with bare hands :)

Are you sure tho because all the other ones around that one look different they have spikes this one is just a plain looking worm you would find in the dirt almost

Yeah the ones with the spikes are bristle worms. I can’t provide an ID on the oddball one, as there are literally thousands of possible identities; maybe someone can though! It’s likely not harmful, but I typically remove a hitchhiker if I can’t ID it

Like this worms head. Any worm you have with that head needs to go.
