Ran into a couple of amazing employees at one of the LFS' today. I was in their shop last night dealing with the owner, who I had no idea was the owner as he was a young dude, so kudos to him for his investment. Either way, I picked up a few gobies for my tank, including a clown goby. Clown gobies come from Okinawa Japan, and my wife if Okinawan, so it was important that I had something from home in my reef for her. 1 hour float, and a 40 minute drip, and in he goes with his buddies. Woke up this morning to the little guy on his side, dead. Not gonna lie, that made me sad. So i contact the LFS on FB via the messenger, and one of the two young employees respond to me. I explained what had happened and asked if they would help me out because I know that sales are final in most spots when it comes to reef fish, so I was just asking and not expecting, but they hooked me up and gave me $20 in store credit. So I head up there with the water samples they requested looking for maybe a fire shrimp or something along those lines and walked right into a weekend flash sale. Corals and fish, buy 2, get one free, and as I said, these employees were amazing because one of them talked me into getting a zoa frag and a couple of yuma bounce frags. I also picked up some dip that was set to expire this month, so I got that for 50% off as well. Now, I had no intentions on leaving with any corals, but he explained that sofies are pretty forgiving. So, they've been dipped, and are in the DT. Here they are.
TL;DR: picked up a fish from LFS last night that died. Store hooked me up with store credit. Ended up leaving with my first corals, and a bottle of nearly expired coral dip for 50% off.
