Digitata Question

My purple digitata looks wierd. it is very skinny, very little polyp extension a, but is growing. lately the tips are growing horizontally. it hasn't encrusted and is in a med-high flow and med-high light area.

shouldn't Digis be thick and somewhat bushy? What am I doing wrong?
it is on the far right rock in the back left side. Looks like a tree

I think that's fairly standard, mine doesn't encrust almost at all and it's very thin branched. The more diffuse the lights the more branched it will be. I placed mine on its side when I got it and it's branching out similarly to yours. Not my favorite coral. The peach ones have a nicer shape imo.
 
What I noticed with my Orange one is the higher the flow the thicker the branches. Sometimes it takes time for it to encrust, but when it starts be ready to start trimming back. It can and will take over a good part of a rock.
