Digitate Hydroids in FOLR

Just realized today i had Hydroids in my DT, isnt too too many but wondering if i need to do something about it or will they not bother my fish? Only inverts will be urchins in this tank.

decrease broadcast feeding, and try target feeding more to starve the hydroids. they can, ad most likely will reproduce and sting nearby corals. i am currently dealing with this in my tank and it's quite annoying because there is nothing that'll readily eat them that is easily accessible.

edit: apparently amino acids feeds them as well. so perhaps cutting back or not dosing amino's could help if you are dosing.

Like i said its a fish only tank, no corals which is why its so odd i have them. Only thing I feed currently are some floating pellets and sinking algae tabs.

If it's a small problem now, I would try to eliminate them, even though they won't bother your fish. Smothering with epoxy would work.

Peppermint or camel shrimp would likely eat them. Certain butterflies might too.

Its a future predator tank but will definitely try the peppermint since i can move it to a smaller before adding larger preds
