I have got digitate hydroids I first noticed a month or 2 back and would try to sparkle over them but out of no where glove had a bloom of them all over the place I’ve heard that by raising the water temp past 92 you can kill them with heat I’ve only recently Kept my tank around 82 degrees due to not having a thermometer to tell the temp barley had the heater on and my tank stayed over 90 degrees for over a year but I finally figured out and lowered the heater all the way down and it keeps at 82 degrees but I wanted to know if it would be safe to slowly raise the temp back up past 90 to try and kill these dang hydroids my corals are doing fabulous I see some hydroids touching my mushrooms but they don’t seem to bother them all I have are softies gap mushrooms a Kenya tree a green leather tree and some pulsing Xenia along with two clowns and a yellow tang with some inverts urchin snails and hermits would i be safe to slowly bring the heat up to kill these hydroids?
