So I want to dose .12ml of Iodide per day. Problem is, my doser won't let me schedule a dose smaller than .2ml

So I'm trying to work out how much to dilute the Iodide (with RODI) to get the equivilent of .12ml of Iodide when actually dosing .2ml of the diluted solution.

I figure equal parts Iodide and RODI would be 50% strength, and so would require a .24ml dose. The doser won't go the hundredths, only tenths. So I need to work this out to .20ml.

What's the math formula to figure this out precisely?

I also need to work out this same problem for a .03ml daily dose (diluted enough to dose .2ml/day)

How about just dosing .24mL Iodide every other day? That sounds like it might be easier.

Add .08ml of RODI, dose that .2ml and you have added .12ml Iodide to your tank

This formula is what you are looking for.

Another way of dosing this (other than the dilution formula) is to calculate based on how many doses you are creating.

The volumes are quite small here, so let's say we are creating 180 doses (6 months).

180 * 0.12 ml = 21.6 ml (Iodide) + 180 * 0.08 ml = 14.4 ml (RODI)

So mixing 21.6 ml of Iodide and 14.4 ml of RODI will give you 180 days of dosing 0.2 ml/day, containing 0.12 ml of Iodide.

Add .08ml of RODI, dose that .2ml and you have added .12ml Iodide to your tank
As above. For every 1.2ml of Iodide add 0.8ml of RO.
1.2 + 0.8
12 + 8
120 + 80
1.2 litres + 800 ml
.
0.8 /1.2 = 0.66666 or approximately 66% so a 500 ml bottle of Iodide would need 333 ml of RO, a 1 litre would need 666 ml.

So I want to dose .12ml of Iodide per day. Problem is, my doser won't let me schedule a dose smaller than .2ml

I personally would not recommend dosing such a small amount via dosser doesn't matter how accurate it is. There are so many things that could go wrong including dilution mistakes.

I would manually dose with dropper bottle - just measure how many drops are in 1 ml. In my case 20 drops, so 1 drop is about 0.05 ml and I will dose 2 drops daily and if needed, 3 drops every other day. This way is very easy and far more safe IMO and dont cost me extra time only 5 seconds more after feeding my fish.
