Dimm % equals PAR % ?

Hi everyone, i have a ATI sunpower 8x39 dimmable about 8 inch above my 4x2x2. I don't have a PAR meter at the moment.

According to BRS investigates my PAR numbers are roughly 350 at the top of my tank, 250 in the middle and 200 at the bottom.

Is it save to assume that dimming my sunpower by 10% will lower my PAR levels by roughly 10% ?

@Baragor75 - thanks for posting - this question might best be asked in the Lighting forum? This forum is for experiments (i.e. each thread is an experiment). To answer your question There is a forumla (which I cannot remember) - to calculate it. BUT - I would strongly suggest either way - that you not use the BRS numbers for your tank - because many things can affect PAR in a tank as compared to their experiments. I would suggest you borrow/rent a PAR meter from a local shop - and measure your own PAR. Good luck!!
