I received these in a trade and they were called Ding Dangs.
I looked through The Coral Vault and found nothing under Ding Dangs. Then I looked through CoralPedia and found Ding Dang PE's but these don't look anything like those shown.

Anyone recognize these?

This shot is with the white balance adjusted in the camera to remove a lot of the blue. It is the closest representation of what they look like.

This is a Flash Shot

This is a shot with no camera adjustments. They don't really look like this. All the pictures I take in my display tank come out very red. I think I'm coming to the end of the bulbs life...

could be, some of my old DD's before lost color and pretty much lost all their designs on the disk. turned all green. But slowly getting their designs back.

Yes I would say they are. Ding dangs do shine like gold once they get the right lighting condition. Not shining from the lights, but they actually look that good once they get in the right condition. That being said it is hard to find that spot sometimes. My ding dangs look exactly like yours right now. I have probably 60 polyps in different tanks. They were all once beautiful, but lost their color.

I would say so Mine change colors on me all the time. I just cant find the sweet spot for them,

I just cant find the sweet spot for them, amen to that....:squigglemouth:

These have looked exactly the same as when I put them in 9 months ago, at least....

Your better of than me in the case of ding dangs. I fragged a bunch of polyps to give away for our local DBTC, they didn't like it for some reason and remained closed and melted. down to 2 polyps just chillen by not multiplying like before.

I would say Ding Dangs - my original ones have taken on a greenish/blue hue as well.

Here they are when you first get them - and/or if you find their sweet spot.

Yesterday I fragged a couple of polyps off the previously pictured colony. I put them under my frag tank under T5's and here is what they looked like this morning.

This shot is taken under actinic lighting with the white balance set to reduce the blue.

This shot is straight up 100% actinic lighting.
