Dino’s only when adding fresh frag plugs

Because it start often on tank bottom, it will target the plug surfaces
Cause is low to no nitrate or phosphate and bright light to support the cells of the flagellates

This only happens with new surfaces and doesn’t spread past that. It goes away after two weeks typically. My nutrients are nowhere close to bottoming out either.

Having some algae or Dino growth on fresh plugs is a common thing. Same as if you would put new, dry rock to your tank. It will be colonized by various organisms in sequence. When I frag my own coral, I attach it to plugs which were sitting in frag tank for weeks.
