So, I struggled with turf algae for a while, and I dosed hydrogen peroxide for about two months and it went completely away. NOW, even though my nutrients have both been hovering around the zero mark, I’m having an insane amount of what I think is hair algae and definitely some Dino’s. I’ve heard of using Dino X but I’ve also heard of it killing some people’s zoas and I don’t want my new utter chaos’s to die. :(
I have a hefty clean up crew and a tux urchin but nothing will touch the algae. Advice??
A little close up on an algae sample:

On treating dinos, I had good luck dosing Dr. Tim's Waste Away (I also did a 3 day blackout with the dosing). On the algae, have you looked into using fluconazole?
Oh I’ll have to look into that. I haven’t tried fluconazole, but I’ve looked into it a little and wanted to see how it worked for others.
