I have dino really bad and I need a little advice.. I am going to use Hydrogen Peroxide and I am ready I think.. 1st.. I have read it is best to raise your PH to 8.6 Red Sea Buffer will do that for me. 2nd.. MP7 to add back good bacteria to the system, BUT when should I be adding it?. Hydrogen Peroxide from my understanding kills both good and bad bacteria (both). So when do I add it?. If I am dosing Hydrogen Peroxide 1ml to 10 gallons of saltwater for some days. Do I just wait till I am done dosing then add it. OR as I understand what I am reading and lots of it and in lots of video's. Adding (MP7) to help by adding the good bacteria back in and then the good eats' up all the food the dino usually eats, thust helping to starve out the dino.. Make sense?. Add Hydrogen Peroxide in the morning then MP7 in the evening..? No one explains anything about this.... Please help me if you done so.. Thank You..

I used Pods and Phyto to beat my dinos with manual removal as well. I know @bubbaque has used H2O2 to beat back dinos but I am unsure how to use it that way.

I have beat the Dino’s I had using just peroxide. I dosed 1 ml per 10 gallons at night when the lights have been off for a few hours. I’ve even dosed a little stronger so no need to worry. You won’t really notice a difference until around day 6-7 but then it dies pretty fast.

I’ve done this multiple times on several different tanks and it always works for the Dino I had.

Will Peroxide kill Cheato in my fuge..? Or did you have any Cheato when you did it..?

2 Questions for you:
When doing the 3 day blackout for dinos, and dosing peroxide, do I continue dosing peroxide every day even after the 3 day black out period is over?and how much peroxide can I dose before my water is too saturated and in need of a water change?

There was a recent thread on here about "how often do you dose peroxide" and it seems that many reefers dose daily/regularly, while some don't dose except in extreme cases. I continue to dose after a blackout until all algae/dino I want to control is controlled and then I quit; always leave some algae for your CUC IMHO. H202 "wears out" rapidly and so I don't believe it builds up and requires a water change to dilute it.
BTW, if you have ovata dinos a UV will be effective against them as well as adding bacteria and other animals to outcompete them.
Good luck, took me a few months to get mine to where they are manageable - they are always present to some degree as you know.

Do you know which dinos you have .???
Have you got a good UV on your tank...1w per 3gal
Personally I wouldn't dose peroxide for it ..or do a 3 day blackout ....I tried them both ..if you have sps in your tank they will suffer and the dinos will come back
Make sure your no3 and p04 are st testable levels ..add copepods and phytoplankton...
You can even dose liquid silicate which will induce a diatom bloom which will out compete the dinos ...
Dont clean your glass for a couple of weeks let algae get a hold ..this will also out compete dinos ...
Add bacteria like special blend or so

how did the peroxide work for you? I did the three day blackout. Didn’t start dosing peroxide until the second night(didn’t know about it yet) and now I have my kessils on a 10 day acclimation mode just cuz after three days of darkness I didn’t want to shock my reef inhabitants, but the peroxide has been effective. I want to add micro Bacter 7 today and actually manually remove the top layer of sand that have the remaining brown crap on it and do a few more days of peroxide and finish the bacteria bottle and I hope I’m good.
