Down side is that it's toxic.

Bright side is that they go into the water column, so a UV sterilizer should be effective in helping you clear it up!

I have been running carbon so far no loss of life due to the Dino. Also been trying manual removal, k z coral snow, and Dr. Tim refresh. Ordered an Aquatop SP7UV yesterday (tank is 25 gallons, though already regretting it might be under powered) as there is no easy way to plumb one. I will see what happens.

I wouldn't worry too much about its power. I used the Auqashield 9w for my 20g AIO.

My 0.02: the UV sterilizer's role is to help keep dino populations in check while your other measures (bringing up nutrients, dosing bacteria, adding pods/more biodiversity/etc) help deliver the finishing blow.
