this pic was taken at 1200x.sample was from the sandbed. any tips on taking clearer pics will b nice.

Hard to tell, but I'm pretty confident those round circles are dinos. But you won't be able to ID which species.

Were the balls moving?

Here is a closeup of dinos in my tank, with a bit more magnification than yours

Just practice. I don't use a special adapter and just put my phone up to the eye piece. With practice you will get steadier and have clear pics.

Does your microscope have a fine adjustement?

i;'ll try getting some better pics.. meanwhile heres a video of my current issue

Definitely looks like dino's. What are you parameters? Especially phosphate and nitrate?
can u tell what kinda dino is this by looking at the video? nitrate was at 5 and po4 0.01. it comes out when lights r on and disappear once its off. if u use a turkey baster to blow if off, it;ll come back in 30 mins

You need clearer microscooe pics to be able to determine the type of dino present.

I take pics with my phone through the scope eyepiece. It can be a little hard to hold steady but a few come out clearly. Your pics are not in focus... still need to fine tune them a little better.

what is the model of your microscope...depending on what features it has you can clear the image easily...Unless you mean it is clear to your eye but you couldn't get a clear photo?

it's dinos. You can know for certain with the coffee filter test.

Suck some up and squirt in a coffee filter and filter in to a cup. The water coming out will be crystal clear. If it's dinos, a short time later they will congregate in the cup and be visible.

To know the exact species, you will need higher magnification than your first pic. I'm sure your microscope has high enough magnification to ID. But it takes some practice. You start at the lowest and focus on a piece of organic matter. Then move up in magnification keeping that in focus. As you get higher, you will see the Dino's more clearly but they are moving. At the highest magnification, they won't stay in your view long at all. Don't try to chase them. Just leave it there and they will come in and out of view.
