Hi guys! I wanted some opinions on if I have diatoms or dino. Noticed the brown slime layer on my sand bed a week ago and now it has started creeping on to my rocks. It's making me nervous since I have a lot of high end coral. [emoji51] I've noticed a few tiny bubbles, but not sure if something else in the tank is causing them. Thanks in advance!

I'll throw my hat in the ring on this one and call it Dinos. Without a microcsope, it's hard to say definitively. There are observable characteristics that could lead to both and factors that can confound proper identification.

Thanks for the input

@sydney.bacus Any update on how this turned out?

Mine looks identical to yours. Only difference is, mine progressed and started to grow on the back glass.

Let us know if you beat it and how or if you are still battling it, how it is going.
