My aquarium has been set up for 3 weeks I used bacteria to quicken the cycle. And a few days ago I noticed a small patch of hair alage and dino and now the dino has taken over. I am not sure why my phosphates are near 0. I also used rodi water so I am not sure what is going on.

You sure it’s not just diatoms? Got a pic ?

The lights where off so it doesn't appear to be as bad.

Well that’s weird... hm.. did you pre cycle the rocks out of the tank, or just dry rock and fill the tank? I haven’t experienced anything that looks like that in my tanks so I’m not sure I’ll be much help. My Dino issue that went away shortly were more brownish, that looks more reddish to me. Maybe a form of cyano? Hopefully some pros will chime in.

The rock was in the tank when I got it. I know it sounds bad but it was dry when he got it and he only had the tank setup for 6 months, he used rodi water, did weekly tests and water changes.

I see. Yea, I’m not sure what the best course of action would be.
