Recently used Dino X to take care of a dino problem I had. Noticed that what bryopsis I had in the tank took a major hit while using it. Stopped using Dino X after the dinos disappeared and the bryopsis came back. Will be doing an experiment to see if a longer period of dosing Dino X can completely eradicate bryopsis. Current tank parameters. Total volume is roughly 90 gallons. Nitrate has been kept at 15 ppm through dosing. Trying to lower phosphates. Currently phosphates are at 0.55 ppm. Alkalinity is at 12 dkh. Calcium is at 500 ppm. Don't have a magnesium tester as of yet. Other dosing includes 10 ml of NOPOX a day, 10 ml of brightwell Iodion every 2 days, and 10 ml of brightwell replenish every 2 days. I will be discontinuing the replenish as Dino X requires you to not dose trace elements. I will be dosing 18 ml of Dino X every other day per instructions. Pictures of tank and bryopsis to follow

Fluconazole is a better choice. I believe dino x is an algaecide, where as fluconazole is an antifungal that manages to be a safe option against bryopsis when dosed correctly.

I've used Fluconazole before with great success. I just noticed I couldn't find any reviews/threads about the effectiveness of Dino X against it. So I figured I would make a thread to track my progress with it

Second dose and so far everything is good. No sign of progress against the bryopsis, but its still extremely early. All corals seem to be doing fine. Phosphate jumped to 0.87 ppm. No other changes to note.

Flux rx will kill it..but it's going to take about 20 days or so. I'm sure there's a ton of nutrients locked up in it too. I would manually remove as much as possible and go from there before treating

After numerous doses of dino X it was still there and my corals were starting to look awful. I've discontinued dosing and added activated carbon to remove the dino x from the water.

I have bad dino and was thinking of using Dino X....did the dino stay away after using it ? Hows the tank today ?
