Hi, New to reef to reef. I have a question, don't know if I'm even posting in the right spot, sorry. I have a 28 gallon reef set up for about a year. Got some dino and some cyno. I used chemiclean and cyno went away. Dino isn't to bad but I checked phosphate and was undetectable with hanna checker. Over a couple days I dosed neophos and brought it up to.06ppm. Nitrates have stayed around 5ppm. My question now is that I brought phosphate up do I need to add something like microbacter7 to compete with the diatoms. Should I also aim to keep phosphate around where I am now to keep the new bacteria that I'm adding, fed?

Welcome!

Glad you joined. Lots of helpful people here, and this is just 'meet and greet' forum. Depending what your upcoming photo shows, some of the other forum areas are watched by others who specialize in <fill in blank... MANY options lol>
