Dinoflagelates algae question

Hello, I have some Dinoflagelates algae in my reef tank and i am trying the 3 day blackout to try and eradicate it. My question is I have a light in the sump area do I turn it off also?
Plus any other suggestions for treatment will be appreciated.

DO you have Dinos growing in the Sump? If you have Macros in the Sump go ahead and leave the light on intially. It will help clean the water out as they decay happens. I know of no other way of doing it, black out is the only thing I know of.

Thanks for the replies. no dinos in sump chaeto, will see what results i get from blackout if not acceptable then i will try the [h=1]Fauna Marin Ultra Algea X I googled this and it seems that it my help also[/h][h=1][/h]

Any alternatives to chemicals? I've been using Dinoxal without evident effects for 6 days!
