Hola!
I already confirmed this to be dinos and believe this to be the amphidinium species. Is this correct based on this picture or is this another type? Much appreciated ahead of time!

Looks like amphidium
You want to blow loose and then siphon up. Reduce or turn off white lighting for 5-7 days and add 1ml of liquid bacteria per 10 gallons daily and 1.5ml of 3% hydrogen peroxide per 10 gallons at night during the 5-7 days
Clean filters daily and empty protein skimmer cup daily

Thank you for the detailed response @vetteguy53081 ! I really do appreciate it and the good advice.
Will follow those instructions and keep you posted :):)

@vetteguy53081
Took your advice and it has made a big difference. The Dinos appear to have been dying off!!
I now have a minor Cyano issue probably from the changes in water chemistry.
That can easily be taken care of though, my main issue has been eliminated.
Thanks again for your help to eliminate this pest for the first time :)

Great to hear
As an insurance , for another week, add .5ml if peroxide per 10 gallons at night

Hello @vetteguy53081 ! Quick question - Dinos are dead! Did some testing on the substrate and didn't see a single one! However I have some other stuff on the substrate that I can't easily identify. Figured if reach out to see if you might have an idea before I delved into it. Appreciate your time!!

Looks like algae spores. Keep white light intensity at lower rate.
Is tank at or near a window ?

It is close to the window but I have blinds reducing the intensity. Unfortunately the tank is locked in place since the sump is plumbed to the basement so can't do much on that.

I don't normally get them - but may be a function of bumping phosphates and nitrates and lighting? I should note that I recently switched my Kessils to the A500s since I have a 30 inch tall tank.

As far as removal, any suggestions? I tried to remove manually but they came back with the same intensity. They don't look horrible but of course just trying to get nice white sand

Thank you!!

Also any clue if these are diatoms? Brown coating that comes on during the day in my 55 gallon. Just came on about a month ago.
