My dinos have gotten so bad obviously out competing the pods for my mandarin that he is way too skinny. Should I throw him into another tank where I have been growing pods where I know he is eating and the pods just arent going anywhere in the display tank. ( I have a 10gallon growing pods)
I know he will eat them all but its more controlled where I can feed more pods into that tank from the store and at least I know he is not going to starve until I can get the issue solved.
Edit- this is an emergency to me because I have been battling this for way too long and he is way to skinny I know hes not going too last much longer before I remedy the situation

If he's skinny you probably need to supplement him in addition to pods as well. I'd suggest trying to get him eating some roe and freshly hatched brine shrimp as well as pods. If mandarins get too skinny they can stop eating entirely and then they are pretty much toast.

I am trying UV, silicates and higher nitrate phosphate...nothing is working

I was going to go and buy more pods and add them to the tank every week, he refuses to eat roe, but I can add brine shrimp when I hatch them

Thanks all.
I have moved him into the tank. He is a lot thinner than I thought. I started a round of brine shrimp and they should hatch in a day but the pods in the 10 gallon should hold him over until then. I can have a steady supply of them for a while even though I know the best thing is pods but at this point it cant hurt him.
dang, I didnt know that dino would wreak havoc on the pod population until about 2 weeks ago when I went further into more articles. Now it makes complete sense why I couldnt grow any in my refugium. I cant even keep chaeto alive in there but in my pod tank its doing fine.
Fins crossed he makes it, Ive had him about 2 years and he was doing fine until this mess

You will need one watt for two gallons of water. Have you confirmed the type of dinos? What is your flow passing through the UV? How big is your tank? Make sure to run carbon because dinos can release toxins.
