Hey fellas, I’ve attached a video..sorry if it’s a little shaky..I’ve been dealing with this strain on and off throughout the last year..I’ve finally got it under a microscope to ID it and hopefully figure out a permanent remedy to keeping it away.

i don’t know exactly what I do to make it vanish, I just kinda does..I’m thinking it’s possibly Ostreopsis since it does get quite long strands and lots of air bubbles..not overly affected by UV light and doesn’t seem to get more aggressive with water changes..I’ve dosed nutrients which doesn’t seem to kill it either…here’s the kicker though, it’s only in my frag tank that’s attached to my display (same system) but doesn’t grabbed to my display tank, it only likes hanging out on egg crate in the frag tank.
It comes and goes, I figured maybe eggcrate leeching something that promotes it but I’m not entirely sure!

let me know your thoughts!

Also side note, if I blow it off with flow off it’ll colonize at the top of the water surface and I can grab it with some floss but it I blow it off while circulation is on it’ll form back on a surface in minutes

I’ve been dosing nitrate and phosphate, they’re slowly receding. Seems to make sense to why they come back every few months..my acros consume my nutrients heavily, and I often forget to dose them to the point my No3 and Po4 are low/un detectable

Usually when the Dino makes an appearance
