Dinoflagellates in rodi water?

I have been battling dinos for a couple months now and have them under control pretty well using uv sterilizer. Only very small strings here and there that you really have to look for. Now a friend is battling Dinos immediately after doing a water change using my rodi water and pump/hoses. I feel certain he got them from me as his tank had been fine until I donated rodi water nothing else had been added or changed. Now I’m trying to figure out how they made it to his tank. My water, contamination from my hoses, pump or storage container?
