Hey fellow reefers, I've got an issue with Dino. It's been looking over my tank for the last 3 weeks covering sand, glass, rocks, and choking my cheato. I need some wisdom from those who have successfully cured dino. I have 0 nitrites, mabey 2 nitrates after feeding (then settles to 0), 0 phosphates, and 7.9 ph.

My current stock is 1 peppermint shrimp, 1 fire shrimp, 3 trouchus snails, 5 hermits and 1 emerald crab. I'll send pics as soon as I get home.

The first is on a piece of rock, the second is under a microscope.

Also just wondering, if this variety of dinoflagilates, cause poisons that can affect me or my family.

Can't do any better than what @KJ said. Run granulated activated carbon

Dino has been sucking the enthusiasm out of me. Once it's been beat, what are the odds of reoccurance?

Read the first post from the link above. They are beatable.
