So I’ve been battling Dinos for some time now. So far I’ve tried hydrogen peroxide dosing with black out for 2 weeks, that worked temporarily. I tried tigger pods with pristine and black out for 3 days. Nothing seemed to work. I know that no one seems to really have a plan that works 100% for Dinos but I don’t know what to do.

My tank is in my closet which is in my room so I don’t have a sump. I was going to get a hang on refugium to out compete the dinos with some different cope pods that eat them.

Will the refugium work, what should I do next please help.

The first step is identifying what type you have. The things suggested earlier sometimes works. You need to raise nitrates and phosphates probably( I don't know your levels but near zero is bad) and I also used silica dosing to get rid of mine.

What's the livestock? I'm a big fan of nuking it with DINO X. But some people around here call me "INSANE" and "RECKLESS".
For the live stock I have some sps frags, a lot of zoas and some palys, a few mushrooms and then , two clowns, coral beauty, lawnmower blend, azure damsel, 2 fish fish, ywm goby and pistol shrimp, 2 clearner shrimp and that’s it

You need a microscope to properly ID your Dinos. H2O2 seems to be effective with some strains only. UV works for most but not all.
I don’t have microscope but I think it is the kind that starts with an O but I don’t know what it’s called.

Have you tried a UV filter? Do you know what kind of dinos you have?
No UV filter and I don’t know the kind but here a picture. Also I recently removed a bunch but this is the current status of it and it’s hard to see because of my turf algae problem too‍♂️.

It really just looks more like light brown slime. So far it’s not very stringy like the other kinds.

Do you notice them being worse toward the end of the day? That's the kind I've dealt with before, my sand looked great in the morning and was covered by the end of the day

Yes but im not sure because it’s hard to tell with the turf algae.

Well the turf algae is your friend in this case, it'll be competing with the dinos and might be just what your tank needs to pull through the dirty dinos
I hope so. I’ve had the turf algae a little while too. So to get rid of it should I just have higher nutrients for the turf algae and get some more copepods? Also do tigger pod even eat Dinos? Some at my lfs said they would help but I’m not sure

dinoX has a bad rep due to only efficient for some stains only and some corals don’t tolerate it. Not reckless but risky.

That would be Ostreopsis. Without microscope don’t know how can you be sure. Ostreopsis is treated with UV successfully together with elevated 10+ppm nitrates and 0.1+ppm phosphate levels. Activated carbon is recommended with that type due to highly poisonous.

since you have have had it 3rd time I would invest into microscope (£30 used on eBay) just to eliminate error. By looking at it with naked eyes even trained eyes can misidentify Dinos.

Fun fact: It'll also NUKE some inverts! HOORAY! But dang if it don't kill dinos.

For starters, I don’t know what kind of Dino’s I had and I don’t know what kind you have but I have used Phyto on 3 separate occasions and it rid me of Dinos each and every time and they hadn’t returned since.
