that's cynobacteria.....
  1. increase water flow and wet skim..
  2. increase water changes
  3. change filter socks/media frequently.
  4. reduce nutrients going into the tank( wash frozen food), feed less, etc.
  5. reduce lighting
  6. check your Phosphate levels! add GFO or for a quick result dose Lanthanum Chloride (ATM Agent Green / Phosphate RX)
  7. or use a product like KZ cynoclean / red slime remover etc.

yea, check your no and Po. blow it off. look for dead snails.
cyano happens.
Add any new foods? marine snow, aminos etc?

Yea I tried reef roids for about a month.. twice a week or so...

I'm gonna change my filter socks out, change out media, wet skim and do a good size water change this week...

Does it disappear at night and come back when the lights come on? Any dead snails or fish? I had something similar and I treated it like Dinos.

Hopefully I can kick it... my gorgs aren't happy with it getting on them

I've seen posts on Vibrant but I used Dr. Tim's Refresh and Waste Away. After 10 days it was like a new tank. I raised my Alk slowly to 11.5 and my coral growth noticeably accelerated. Everybody seems happier including 2 goni's that I nearly gave up on. I also had hundreds of mini tube worms that I just noticed today all disappeared! No trace.

I still get some brown algae on the sand during light hours so I continue to dose every now and then to see if it will eventually go away. I don't think it's worrisome though.
