Dinos?

Just a bit of an update. I've been just keeping tank visibly clean 2x/week last couple weeks, vacuuming sand 1x week. Lights running 11 hrs blue 4 hrs white on minimal settings since bloom was identified. Nitrates and phosphates near zero, skimmer off, feeding heavily (4 fish, 13 frags).

It's been over a week since I really saw any nasty stuff on my powerheads (they were always the nastiest). Light coverage on the sand anywhere without heavy flow, brown dust on glass, a few random bubbles on the rocks. This last week I've been ramping up the photo period and intensity a bit. All corals looking good besides Duncan, who hasn't opened fully in weeks, and has been 90% closed last 2 weeks.

Dosed Spectacide to 4ppm nitrate last 2 days, had a noticeable increase in both brown dusty algae on glass (possible dinos), and green tinged (film algae?) rocks. Did a cleaning and dosed 1/2 dose Dr Tim's Waste Away today. Fresh pods and phyto ordered last night, 2-3 day delivery.

Don't feel yet like shelling out a nickel for a UV I dont want, so trying for a holistic approach. We'll just see what happens.

Back at it fighting dinos. Finally got a microscope. Any help with ID and how to deal with these?

Looks like ostreopsis, do they spin like they're tethered to something? I'm currently fighting the same. Knock on wood, I seem to be turning the corner with a combination of reduced lighting, physical removal, raising nutrients, and adding pods/bacteria.

I think that’s going to be my plan of attack as well. How much reduced lighting? What level of nutrients did you raise to? I have added some bacteria but maybe I need more diversity? Any details would be appreciated.
