Not sure what this is.. I'm a newbie, so, any help is appreciated. I thought maybe it's dinos but, I'm not sure. Started showing up a couple of days ago. It's stringy and slimy looking.

It does look like it in some of the pix. The bubbles i can see and threads on the gravel do have characteristics of it. Not sure if there is something else going on along with it

If a Microscope is available for you to post a pix it would help ID

Kind of looks like the dinos I had in my tank. I combated it with adding a bunch of Tisbe pods and Phyto to outcompete the dinos. Took a couple weeks but did the trick for me.

Dinos

Baste it off

Suck it out

Don’t put anymore corals in until it’s gone, in a few months

I picture under a microscope would really help. Not all dinos are created equal and different species have to be treated differently. It could be spirulina or a cyanobacteria and those can be treated too.

Does it go away at the end of the light cycle and come back when the lights come back on?

Thanks for all the replies! It doesn't seem to be getting any worse, maybe a touch better actually. I'll see if I can't get some under av microscope! Right now I'm a little more concerned about my trachy.. it seems to have what looks like spider webs on it. Or even a white mold. Went ideas what that might be? You can kinda see it in the pics.
