I have been advised by someone on another thread to post in the algae section to see what some other people think
Do you think there are dinos algae in my tank ? If so what advice do you have
I’ve attached pictures of my corals ( they’re not doing to great atm I’m adjusting my lights to find the best settings) to see if you can identify the coral

Need clearer pictures and under white lighting. Appears to be a bacterial bloom in pics.
Are you using RODI water or tap water from the faucet?
What test kits are you using?

Whenever I’ve had dinos they always let off loads of air bubbles have you noticed this at all ? A pic under a scope is the usual way to 100% confirm if you have Dino and what type you have

100% agree on the pics bud but from the main tank shot I’m not seeing mats of red cyano let’s see what op comes back with picture wise :)
I have had red algae covering my sand bed and rock like a blanket but I’ve just cleaned it off today (facepalm)

Oh boy. Wish this was dino- But its calothrix which is in the family of cyano algae and often confused with Dino as it too is nasty Booger looking . Bubbles also present as it is gases trying to escape. Bad news is that you want to remove each rock and place in a bucket of tank water and scrub with a toothbrush to loosen matter. Then agitate in water to loosen any particles and return rock to the tank.
After all are scrubbed, you can add some cleaners listed below which will help with control:
Lg nerite snails
cerith snails
Trochus snails
Margarita snails
Chiton snails
Ninja star snails

I’m struggling to get my rocks out of my tank I’ve just almost smashed my tank:( ‍ is there any other way I can clean it like just CUC, scrubbing whilst in tank or a treatment?

Sometimes if I’m going for a detail clean I take apart a plastic pen and push airline tubing into it and use it as a syphon this and a toothbrush may aid you however it will be a long session.
