My tank has cycles and I now have diatoms, I want to start with a cleanup crew. Do I just quarantine them or dip them? And if so with what and how ....

I have never quarantined or dipped my cleanup crews. Typically I just acclimate them like I would any other critter going in my tank and then I put them in!

I float the bags in tank and/or the sump for a while, then put them in. Drip acclimation is bad for them. If you are worried about pests or disease you can take a brush to the shells.

For sure no on the dip.

I just acclimate and put them in the tank without the water they came in. I guess there is a small chance they have something on them, but I've never noticed anything other than algae on a snail shell.

Lol. I just saw a YouTube video about that and was pretty taken back by it so I wanted some expert advice here.....

We are glad you trust us! It is much better to ask first.

:)
The crew could possibly infect your tank with ich or other hitchhiker stuff like algae and planaria, etc. If you qt them you can watch all day and still not remove all of the junk that may come along. I would just toss them in and let them do their thing but other experts will have different viewpoints, and I am not an expert at qt and do not claim to be.

But big points for asking first and wanting to do it right the first time! A++

Definitely don't dip them, dipping is meant to kill various bugs and that what your clean up crew is.If I had fish I would QT them, if you don't have fish or don't plan on adding fish for 76 days then just put them in the tank. I inspect shells for hitch hikers and and pest algae. If Identify pest on there shells I don't buy them, if the have some algae of some kind growing on their shell then I use some hydrogen peroxide and apply it with qtip so I don't get any on the snail its self.
