Hi All,
II have a rock with probably 10 aiptasia nems on the bottom of it. Unfortunately, the rock also has a toadstool and Nepthea (finger leather) on it (both large) that are a couple of inches above the base of the rock. How could I tackle this problem with a dip of sorts?
1. I could flip the rock up upside down in a bucket so the corals stay submerged and put Kalk over the aiptasia areas. But I'm worried I won't get it all...
2. I could dip the bottom of the rock briefly in something (Peroxide? Vinegar? Bleach?) that would definitely kill the aiptasia, but still be able to put back in the aquarium pretty quickly without harming the display (or the leathers)? It would have to be something potent enough to kill it quickly while I hold the leathers above it.
Any other ideas? I don't have F-Aiptasia. I do have Aiptasia-X, but it hasn't been working well for me. The rock is very porous, so I'm afraid that superglue, Kalk, etc. will miss some of the unseen babies... Thanks,
