I thought I had a little flatworm problem :) Used four drops of Flatworm Exit in a gallon of tank water.

Man how big is your tank??? So if that's just ONE coral then just imagine??
Good thing you found them.

I believe that's what they are too. I will take them out one bucketful at a time. The frogspawn is only coral with the infestation. I also dipped my hammer and only got 5 off of it.

I think you're going to have to do a full all at once treatment to get rid of them!

I finally did a full tank treatment with a double dose of Flatworm Exit. So far so good ...

I've never heard of planaria hosting only a frogspawn. Was the whole tank full of them?

They were the worst on a gold torch, followed by the frogspawn and then a few on a branching hammer. I've dipped the frogspawn a couple of times, but couldn't remove the torch to dip it. It wasn't as bad as I expected it to be. I netted what was I could and siphoned out the rest. The tank looks fine. I will redo the treatment in a week.

I've beat them before years ago and you can too, but I can guarantee you that for every one you see there are probably ten more you don't. You will need to use flatworm exit on the whole tank and be ready to run a bunch carbon after because as they die they release a toxin that is deadly to your reef. I also siphoned out as many as I could while they were dying. theres a website called Melv's reef that has an excellent step by step process to accomplish this.

Keep us posted as to your progress of getting rid of those buggers!!

I did another treatment tonight. Dosed the whole bottle (treats 300 gal and my tank is 105 gal with another 15 gal in the sump) with no ill effects. I probably netted a dozen floaters and about the same number went down the overflow and got caught in the filter sock. I did a 20 gal water change just to be on the safe side, but to be honest, I don't think it was necessary. The activated carbon does the trick. One more treatment and hopefully I will be done.

Dang! That's a lot of FW's!

I can see where that many would poison a tank. They were mainly attracted to the frogspawn at first, so I dipped it a couple of times and what you see in the bucket was the end result. By the time I dosed the tank, the population had decreased significantly. There are still a few left, but it's manageable now.
