I have a dying coral. I dipped it in two little fishes for 7 minutes.

How often should I dip the coral from now on? Or am I done dipping it?

I believe its a Wellsophillia. I have had it for going on 3 days now.

I moved it away from my other corals under my frogspawn so its not in direct light. If it dies my wife will KILL me for spending $75 on a coral

What lighting was is under when you bought it? What lighting is it under now? How did you acclimate it? Also, by messing with it on a regular basis, thats not going to help.

I wouldn't keep dipping it. I think you've done all you can. Keep your water quality good and fish/inverts from picking on it.

When I first got it I put it down on the front right of the tank. I drew pictures because its a lot easier to explain.

After I dipped the coral (today) I moved it around the left side of the tank under the frogspawn (where you see it in the first pictures I posted) As you can also see. I did this because I thought maybe it was in too much direct light. As you can see, all of my other corals seem to be doing O.K. I keep a costant salinity of 1.025 and do 20% water changes with reef crystals twice a week. Water stays between 78 and 80 degrees.

Tonight i'll spot feed it with some coral frenzy... At this point i'll do anything.

Here are my lights. It is on a 8G nano. It was under a hydra when I purchased it. I put it under the lights for 15 minutes in a bag and then put it in the tank.

The only thing that is new besides the coral is a yellow clown goby that I have had for a week now. Here are some pictures of him, does he look healthy?

Nice fishy!!
If the coral was under a Hydra, then your lights wont' be to strong for it. Only other thing would be that your water parameters are much different than your LFS. Time will tell, ya gotta leave it be at this point.

It seems to be doing better. Is it going to be a problem that it is now starting to press up against the glass?

Another question, will the area circled ever grow back?

Firstly, it sounds like you floated the bag and then put the coral in your tank...please look up and follow acclimation processes for LPS or whatever else you add...you need to let the coral adapt to your tank water..
Also, I agree with whomever said that your lights are punt as strong...so let it settle and maybe move your euphyllia out of the way so it get some brighter light
Lastly, it is possible for the flesh to grow back, I've never had good luck with it...but it should not recede anymore if you can keep it happy...

I got one from my lfs yesterday that looked way worse than yours, and so far a lot of color has came back. I'm hoping it will fully recover and look like the one i purchased.., He gave me the dying one someone brought in.
