Hello please see the below montipora and acropora frags. I dipped these all in roughly 1oz bayer per gallon of water first, then half a cap full of revive coral dip in a half gallon of water. Bayer dip was 10 mins, and then 10 mins in the revive dip with a small power head. After dipping I soaked them in a couple cups for saltwater for 5 mins. After that straight into the tank. Two questions: Will these frags survive, and should I change my dipping process. I just fed all these corals benereef and added a 16oz bottle of fresh phyoto from a friend.

It was probably the revive dip for 10 min. I don’t go past 6 min for sps and 3 or 4 at most for sensitive sps and smooth skinned acros.

well poop.. The instructions said up to 15 mins so I thought 10 was good.

I’ve been told not to dip right after receiving them if shipped because of stress. I also don’t use Bayer anymore. Using the dip from UWC, I also only order from certain vendors.

One or the other would have been ok. Personally, I’ve had worse results with revive than Bayer. Your last one looks rough.

Yea it’s my second choice after melafix lots of people do 10 because they see the directions, a very healthy acro might make 15 min ok but it’s still too much imo. Revive is a good dip if used less than about 8 min. Lps or softies 15 is ok. Also non of the frags looked encrusted at all which leads me to think they were recently cut. Fresh cuts, shipping and then a dip will be rough on any acro. Although I prefer fresh cuts from friends or pre orders from frag swaps.

Only way to know if they will survive is wait it out.

The encrusting montis you have i think they will make it.. the acroporas might bleach white but if the polyps stat itll recover too.. id keep really good flow on all of them
