Hey guys quick question.

Right now I am using iodine with the "make it look like iced tea" recipe.

I would like to use something better.

My first question is:

Bayer or Coral RX?

If it is Bayer which should I buy. I posted a picture of the top ones on Amazon if it's one of these please let me know which one. If it's Coral RX I will just buy that.

Thank you!!!

I've used both and I prefer Bayer. I mix 3 mls of Bayer to 300 mls of tank water and leave the frags in there for 15 minutes before rinsing in a tank water bath. Here's a picture of the actual bottle I use.

Coral rx has always worked for me.

I used iodine(lugols) a couple days ago on a couple sps frags, it literally peeled the flesh off of them in 5 minutes.... Will only be using coral Rx or Revive from now on... Anyone else had that happen?

Bayer and nothing else.

I used to use revive but I found it very harsh on sps. I lost more frags to that dip than anything else. I have yet to lose any from Bayer.

Plus its like 100000000% cheaper than anything else.

I use Bayer as well. It freaked me out using it the first time but after zero ill effects I'm a believer.

I also use Bayer but when speaking with Matt from the coral wholesale company Detroit Corals: he raved about the use of peroxide. Not for sps corals but everything else including his fish. I don't have direct experience so I will not say any more about peroxide other than to suggest looking into it if you have lps or soft corals to deal with

Bayer and nothing else.

I used to use revive but I found it very harsh on sps. I lost more frags to that dip than anything else. I have yet to lose any from Bayer.

I had the same experience. Revive and CoralRX cause the coral to slime and retract its polyps. With Bayer there is hardly any sliming and the polyps open up in the dip.
