I’m painfully new but trying. I’m dipping some mushroom corals I got from Live Aquaria. Are these things on them ok? I think the one in green is a sponge??? I’m not sure what that is circled in red. Thanks so much!

The item circled in Green does indeed look to be a sponge. This is a-ok

The item in red, can you tell us if it has flimsiness to it? Does it move like a plant would?

It looks closer to an algae that has potentially died (Bryopsis), or possibly a species of hyroids, heck if it moves and closes it could even be a bivalve. I personally would do my best to scrape it off and hold onto it in the container. If it's something helpful then it can be re-added, but if not, then best to keep it out before it goes in your main display.

Great! Thank you. I was pretty sure that was a sponge and didn’t want to hurt it. I wasn’t sure if the other was some kind of invert but I think you are right about it being algae. I will try to remove it.
