Dipping LPS

I'm sure there are, lol...

However, I have dipped many hammers and many richordia in coral rx without issue. Last week, I forgot about a few corals I had dipped, so the richordia, zoas and chalice sat in the solution for a few hours... So yeah, set a timer...

Thanks, I do always set a timer.

Nope, I've left some LPS in Bayer for like 45mins (Timer failed to go off and I was cooking dinner) and had no issue

I have used coral rx, Bayer and even peroxide on a torch that I though had brown jelly disease. All dips were ok but I wouldn’t recommend using peroxide on lps normally. Bayer and coral rx seemed pretty gentle on all lps (acans, euphelia, blastos, Duncan, chalices) so far.

Old threads never die?
Lots of love for this website and the folks who have shared their knowledge and good experiences here.

Today, as I picked up an SPS frag from an AquaSD auction-victory I made a rash torch purchase to show my support our LFS community. It probably didn't help much that I've had a simultaneous flare-up in pain medications consumption and I couldn't recall how/if I had used Bayer for a bug wash on LPS in the past? It kind of seemed like I had but I needed to read it from others before I tossed an lps coral into a bug bath. o_O

Looks like it will be ok, so with all of the provided advice I am off to safely sanitize these new tank additions. I'll set a timer and hopefully I can get through this process and keep the bugs out.

Thanks again. Good advice is timeless.
