Dipping macros?

Anyone dip their macros? Qt it? Iodine base dip maybe? Just curious if anyone has ever dipped their algae for pests and had success and it lived and thrived after?! Ty.

FWIW bristleworms like to live in macros, aptaisia not so much .. . just one sample but I’d rather quarantine it as macros also contain good hitchhikers

I don't dip my macros, I kind of just inspect them when I take them out the bag, and swish them in a bucket so anything falls off. Using a QT tank would be a good idea so that anything that was on it will be spotted

I might set up a small qt in the garage. The heater would be on constantly but i think qt this round would be worth it. Just need a reliable qt with skimmer. Basically a whole nother set up. :/
