heres the polyp inside my tank. I noticed a black piece of debris on the opening. Not sure if its a part of the polyp or a critter. what should i do? pluck it out or leave it alone or dip.

Looks like it's expelling waste. I haven't dipped so I can't offer advise for that. Have you tried higher and lower lighting? Was the polyp open when you bought it from the store/person? Try and get the lighting like it was there if they have the same lighting as you. Flow could also be part of it but I have been having problems with my CARs as well so no recommendations on that.

i use coral rx. i use 3caps for a gallon of saltwater. be carefull of how much you uise cause you can burn your zoas/sPs/lps if overdosing and leaving for to long.

yes the polyp was nice and open. Also about half the size bigger. i have it under a kessil 360N. I moved it away to see it would open but still not opening. The skin seems fine also. Should i put it in an area with more flow?

dont forget if a polyp closes up it can be something stressing it. dont keep moving it all around. cause youll stress it even more

i have some polyps that havnt opened in 2 months now. there finaly starting to open up. also do about a quart of water and a half cap full for 6minutes. with blowing the water around with a baster or something. take out after 6minutes rinse with fresh saltwater from your tank tehn set it in your tank where ever. and leave it alone. let it run its course.
