Dipping Trumpets and Mushrooms

I recently found someone about a mile from me that's getting out of the hobby and I'm interested in getting some of his corals. I will most likely get his Trumpet and Mushroom corals and maybe some others. I plan to dip them in Bayer to try to avoid introducing anything unwanted into my system. Is it safe to dip these corals in Bayer? Also what ratio do you guys use to dip?
