Im not sure on that... maybe some others who may have tried this will chime in. I use a brush on snail shells occasionally to clean off algae...i like clean snails, lol... but I've never tried any chemicals on them.

I don’t think that would have the effect you’re hoping for. Bayer is a dip and wouldn’t be effective that way.
