Dipping

Hi everyone
Going to sound like a beginner question however I have always bought frags . I have Just bought some corals which have came on rocks I always dip when on frag plugs however can I dip them since they are on rocks

Yep, I would.

Ideally you want to remove frags from rock and porous frag plugs. The only plugs you can safely dip are plastic plugs....don't absorb dip.

That said, I know many who simply dip frag and plug. My only suggestion would be to rinse, rinse and rinse again in fresh tank water each time....and then rinse again.

If it came on rock sometimes that indicates a less than sterile propagation environment. That's not a bad thing. I've found a shake in seawater before dipping in toxins can yield a brittle star or two or other beneficial fauna.
