I have some power heads and some pumps i want to get cleaned up. Whats the vest thing to clean with that will be safe for the reef i cant keep them out for days because they are the only few power heads i got.
Is there a post already if so just let me know thanks.

Take them out 1 by 1 and get a gallon of vinegar. Soak each one over night, scrub them the next day and rinse well.
Thats what i was going to do.
Do you know if that will get into the motor part and everything and should i run it in the viniger or just soak it?

You can run it but you'll need a 5 gal bucket to do that. I generally take mine apart, soak and then take a toothbrush and some q-tips to get the tighter spots.

What he said.....I just did this to mine. Covered in coraline and came off within an hour. Used a tea pitcher (1 gallon) and ran the pump submerged in half and half solution for about an hour. It was literally falling off.

Awesome thanks everyone for the help i just got the viniger today and will be soaking tonight

I alredy did the viniger dip
Does the H2O2 take off everything?

Undiluted distilled white vinegar does. If it still has anything on it, give it a light brushing and stick it back in the vinegar again.
I buy the gallon or two gallon jugs for less than $2, leave it straight then strain the big stuff out and pour it back in the jug to use over and over until it loses it strength than pour it down the drain and buy another. One jug lasts a good year that way.
