Dirty rodi container

Wow, I usually clean it once every 3 to 6 months but this time is awfully dirty. Coralife salt mix.

am I the only one?

I cleaned it with vinegar, rinsed with tap water then rodi rinse.

No some salts tend to do that. I’ve had reef crystals leave a brown film in my mixing buckets. A simple rinse and soak with water and Citric Acid gets the job done for me.

I'd soak overnight in a 50/50 solution of water and vinegar and then rinse and repack in the morning

I called it a day, not completely off but should be good enough. Don’t think it’s harmful.

I decided not to soak it, I did the above and called it a day. I wiped it and nothing came off and I think it’s ok.
