Dirty sand

Hi everyone, I’m just wondering in my saltwater fish tank my sand is getting algea. The algea is red instead of green and very clumpy. How do I get rid of it? I mix my sand up every once and a while. Thanks!

Photos help. However vacuuming it out during your water changes is probably the best method.
